Capstone Tea is a teahouse which is located at 1429 Robson Street in Vancouver. I like the interior decor – it’s pretty nice, very clean, green and fresh. The also feature chocolate fondue on the menu which makes the place ideal for that first date.
Alright, everyone loves chocolate fondue, right? Well I hope so! Capstone Tea recently opened up on the Robson Strip between Broughton and Jervis Street – pretty close but more promient and up the hill from Hapa Izakaya (for those of you who know what that is). Here’s a link to the Yahoo! Map. Can’t seem to get on Google, their site (and a myriad of related sites like Gmail and Blogspot) seem to be down as at current.
Here’s a quick view of the interior on one of my initial visits. Lynn and I checked out the place on a sunny day in August. I’ve been back numerous times since.
Two of my favourite teas at Capstone are the Honey Bush and the Rooibos teas – definitely sweet and light but really, the draw is the Fondue. They do an all you can eat session nightly and you can also order a personal set to your table for those personalized experiences. So what to do when you’re eating fondue? Fondue art, of course!
Of course that was on a subsequent visit in September with Soraya. Darn, I think I need to go back soon! Any takers?
