This weekend was good – let off some much required steam and met with some long lost friends. I also had a couple chances to sample the food at Inferno.

On Saturday afternoon, I made it out to Inferno to sample their food. Also gave Chad Thiessen his ticket for the Richie Rich event since he was the winner of the last minute draw I put together for a single ticket to the event.

The food at Inferno is great, definitely better than pub quality. I was able to sample chicken satays, their dungeness crab tower and their roasted duck spring rolls. The food was great, I made some suggestions as to the presentation and sizing for the Evening Mixer on the 6th and we enjoyed the afternoon getting to know one and other.

Saturday night, I dragged myself out to the Richie Rich party at Sutton Place on Saturday, it was really alot of fun. Lots of familiar faces, some amazing costumes and I met up with a few friends that I hadn’t seen in a while. Craig Smart was in from Buffalo, we had a chance to chat, I got to see pictures of his daughter Caitlin and perhaps we’ll even catch up before I fly off to France. I also invited him to the next UM party at Inferno which is great.

Back to the party, looks like a really great production went on at Sutton – I got there a bit late so I didn’t get a chance to sample the Moet or the Dom which was being distributed freely. A few people went over the top but overall a tame evening. Craig Stowe’s crowds are pretty tame most of the time.

On Sunday night, I went out to Inferno, had a good dinner with Ghalib, saw Duncan from Mira, overall a good time. We were recounting events of the evening we had a party at Mira. Apparently, the first photo I took (pictured here) was right after an altercation regarding the lack of ice and spinach being prepped for the evening. Who woulda thought

Never a dull moment with those boys, that’s for sure!

This week will prove to be busy, a number of meetings to set up evenings for the URban Mixer and SOcial Empire. I’m even looking to do a dinner party and an older-ages speed dating event soon.

On another note, what the hell happened to the weather? I was planning on rollerblading some more this week. Yesterday was really nice but I was overly constrained by work. Now today it’s crappy outside! Hopefully this weather subsides soon.
