Friday Night

Went out Friday night to blow off some steam. Wound up meeting with Eugen, Michael and Brady – turned out to be a really great night.

After completing all of the Social Empire and Urban Mixer administrativia with Frances, we took off to blow off some steam. Was supposed to go to the Sekoya CD Release party but being the last minute person I am, we couldn’t get in – they were actually 40 people over capacity. In the interim, we had made some plans with Eugen Klein and Brady Dahmer to meet up at the Sekoya party which was occurring at the Ironworks Gallery on the corner of Main and Alexander in Gastown.

After approx 10 minutes of waiting outside of the Ironworks, I decided to introduce the boys to Mo’ Butta – the home of the next Social Empire event and one year anniversary party with Frances as host. We had a good time, good chat, good chew, couple beers and wonderful company. Considering that I had to be on a flight to Calgary the next morning, we cut the evening short and bid our goodbyes.

It was raining heavily when we made our exit from Mo’ Butta but something was different. The drops were quite large and were warm. I didn’t have my trusty LV umbrella with me so I had to bear through the rain but in fact, it was a true pleasure. I don’t mind big, warm raindrops nor did I mind getting soaked.
